For this ninth edition, on Saturday 16th November, The Blank has organized Fight Club, a talk about the new form of communication in the Contemporary Art system.
Which is the impact of the rise of social media on the system? Which the prospects and which the potentialities? How do digital platforms allow you to be outside the box? This are some of the topics which will be discussed during the “rounds” of the meeting, led, or better arisen by Giacinto Di Pietrantonio. At the corner of the ring of Bergamo Box gym, ready to confront each other, five heavyweights: Maria Chiara Valacchi, indipendet curator, founder of di SpazioCabinet and collaborator for Artforum and Corriere della Sera; Giulio Alvigini, artist and creator of Make Italian Art Great Again; Luca Rossi, blogger and artist; Giuseppe Stampone, artist and founder of solstizio.org network; Matteo Bergamini, director of Exibart, collaborator for D di Repubblica, member of Associazione ArtCityLab Milano. Il Festival di Arte Contemporanea The Blank ArtDate è organizzato da The Blank ed è frutto di un’intesa culturale con il Comune di Bergamo volta alla valorizzazione e promozione di Bergamo come città d’arte e cultura. È un evento di rilevanza regionale supportato da Regione Lombardia e riconosciuto dalla piattaforma europea EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe per la sua qualità artistica, il coinvolgimento della comunità locale e al contempo il respiro europeo e globale. La manifestazione è resa inoltre possibile dal sostegno e contributo di importanti realtà quali: Fondazione UBI Banca Popolare di Bergamo, Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca, Isocell S.p.A., Dielle Ceramiche S.p.A. e patrocinata da L’Eco di Bergamo. The Contemporary Art Festival The Blank ArtDate is organized by The Blank and is the result of a cultural agreement with the Municipality of Bergamo aimed at the enhancement and promotion of Bergamo as a city of art and culture. It is an event of regional importance supported by Regione Lombardia and recognized by the European platform EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe for its artistic quality, the involvement of the local community and, at the same time, for the European and worldwide scope.
